I was going to buy this. Luckily, I saw one in the store before I did so. Our old four cup Mr Coffee finally got plugged up with hard water deposits so I set out to buy a replacement. The old one was well made and lasted a long time - it was still working when I tossed it, however, no water was coming through - but the new one is ridiculously cheap in its quality. And the carafe of the new one is about half the size of the old one, yet both are four cup. There is no way this holds four cups of coffee. One at most. And they changed the material and the design. It is now made of cheap plastic and does not come apart to let you clean it. I will instead be looking around to see if any seller happens to still have some of the older models in stock and I recommend you do likewise.

I ordered the Mr. Coffee 4 cup brewer so that my husband could have his "high test" in the morning and I could have my decaf. The brewer is easy to use and makes a good cup of coffee.

This is a nice coffee-maker for the price, but don't expect to be able to fill more than a travel mug and part of another. I got this for my son and I to have coffee ready-made before we head off to work, but I had to run a second batch to fill our mugs (which are not the big ones, pretty much standard size).

We had been using Hamilton Beach brew station coffee makers for years. They are great because they do not have a carafe. You just press your cup against a lever and it fills with coffee. BUT they always developed leaks within 2 years.
When our last one gave out, we decided to go back to basics and get a Mister Coffee. We have the 12 cup. It is great.
It keeps the coffee much warmer than the Hamilton Beach did, because the carafe sits on the hot plate. The coffee tastes great. We have not had any problem with it dripping on the counter.
I wish they would have designed the basket so that it had a flat bottom to make it easier to fill on the counter.
I definitely recommend this coffee maker!
