Product Description
PopLite Hot Air Corn Popper

Amazon.com Review
Plug in Presto's PopLite and the party begins. In less than 2-1/2 minutes you'll have up to 18 cups--two large bowlfuls--of fluffy popcorn with virtually no unpopped kernels. And because the machine uses hot air instead of oil, the resulting snack is healthier and lower in calories. That's not to say you can't add butter; in fact, the 1/2-cup measuring cup on top of the popper doubles as a butter melter. Simply put in the desired amount of margarine or butter (room temperature is best), and it melts from the heat produced during the popping process. The clear plastic cover and cup, which must stay on during popping so the popped corn doesn't fly all over the room, easily remove for hand cleaning with warm, soapy water. No other clean-up is required. While a few unpopped kernels spring out the chute as the machine begins to heats up, the chute does a good job of directing the popped corn into a bowl. The popper measures 14 by 9 by 6-1/2 inches, and is identical to Presto's Orville Redenbacher Hot Air Corn Popper except for color and logo. Presto covers the PopLite with a two-year warranty. --Ann Bieri

5 out of 5 stars Pops as expected   September 7, 2010

Good job done by this machine. I read a review which turned out correct.

4 out of 5 stars Air pop corn popper   September 6, 2010

The air popper works good with very few unpopped kernels left over. It is simple in design and doesn't take up too much room in the cupboard. My kids (ages 4 & 2) love to watch the popcorn start to pop and then pour out into the popcorn bowl. My only complaint is that I wish it had an on/off switch. I keep forgetting to not plug it in until I'm ready to pop the corn!

5 out of 5 stars Great Little Popper   September 3, 2010

I love this Presto hot air corn popper. I'm cutting back on snack food calories so air-popped corn is a really good snack option. I've experimented with toppings and will share a few of my favorites. I put my popcorn spices in a mini-mincer so the powdery blend of spices will stick to the popcorn. One of my favorite toppings is sugar and salt. Just mince it to a fine consistancy and mix it in the popcorn. Another topping I enjoy is packaged spaghetti sauce mix. Mince and mix. This is a good hot-air popper and a great price, cheaper than department stores or anywhere else I've looked.

4 out of 5 stars Good, economical popper   September 2, 2010

It pops your corn kernels. Actually, it does a pretty good job of it - there are not many unpopped kernels left. My biggest problem with it is the lack of an off switch - you have to unplug it to stop it. Also, make sure to not overfill the basin (there is a line marked inside, which makes it very easy) - the popper will overheat and shut off. The first time I did that I thought I broke it, but once it cooled down it work again.

5 out of 5 stars Great Popper!   August 31, 2010

I didn't realize how absolutely terrible our 10 year old air popper was until it died and we bought this Presto Poplite as the replacement. It had gotten such glowing reviews and after a week I have to agree, it's such a wonderful popper! Poplite pops twice the amount in a quarter if the time without any scorching and very little old maids. As the corn pops it flows out neatly into a bowl, it only gets a bit unruly at the very end. Our old popper managed to get popcorn everywhere except the bowl and left many scorched old maids. Overall a great product I would recommend!
